COGHEP is a registered Public Benefit Organization (PBO), founded in 2006 with a mission to achieve community transformation through empowerment. Our focus is on enabling boys, girls, men, and women from diverse backgrounds to reach their full potential through inclusive and guided processes. Operating in Kilifi, Taita-Taveta, Kwale, Nairobi, and Mombasa counties in Kenya, COGHEP remains a non-partisan, non-religious, and non-political entity dedicated to fostering social and economic transformation in communities.
At COGHEP, we believe that true transformation begins at the community level. Our priorities are rooted in empowering people, strengthening livelihoods, and driving sustainable development across Kenya’s coastal region. We focus on:
Collaboration
We achieve our results through collaboration and cooperation with like-minded organizations and players across sectors who help in facilitating technological transfers; access to opportunities and resources to nurture value for our beneficiaries.
Innovation
COGHEP believes that local problems can be solved locally through innovation and creativity, just as local problems involving global technical resources and networks may be resolved locally.
Empathy
To turn the suffering into a smile COGHEP is a firm believer in the need of having a thorough awareness of the beneficiary's situation. We urge employees and colleagues to understand the suffering and difficulties faced by their clients or beneficiaries.
Integrity
Our organization earn the trust of donors, partners, governments, and the people we serve by rigorously measuring performance, sharing our results, and holding ourselves accountable.
